Access Violation after 8.1
   

Hello,
Ran Gothic for 43 hours crash free with Dx8a, then had to install Dx8.1 for another game and now Gothic CTD's frequently with Access Violation message. Anyone else have problems with 8.1 and Gothic? Thanks

No problems with DirectX 8.1.
Seems something got corrupted when you installed it. You could try to install patch 1.08k.

Had Same Problems Mate
   

Dude,

I had EXACTLY the same problems that you did, even AFTER I installed the patch. Just stick with 8.0a, it works much better and almost never crashes your system.
