I did enjoy playing this game alot, however, this is just a small collection of things in this game that didnt make sense or didnt seem to end correctly to me...
1. WTF did the sleeper have to do with the barrier? you banish the sleeper and suddenly the barrier is down.
2. the game box states... "non-linear storyline with multiple endings".. once again.. WTF... anyone else get a different ending? didnt think so.
3. what ever happened to Xardas? Diego? Milten? Gorn? Lester? these characters just kinda faded away. with no more part in the storyline, i guess we were suppose to forget them.
4. the only camp that makes any sense is the only one you cant stay a member of. the new camp is made up of slave drivers (peasants FORCED to work in the rice fields), the sect camp full of potheads and cult psychos, but the old camp is very organized (other than a couple jerks that try to get ore from you and of course Mud), they took what was suppose to be a prison and made it a prosperous community. if the storyline truly was non-linear, i would still be in the old camp in Gomez's place.
5. ok... the barrier is down, so what?! everyone inside the barrier except the mages were all frickin criminals, arent they just gonna be hunted down (including your character)? and what about the "war" that is supposedly going on between the King's army and the Orcs?
6. i dont care who Gomez thinks he is, no one would follow him long with him hoggin all the 'tang! whats up with the female population?
this is just a small list, i could make another list with positive stuff but this is more fun. like i said, i did enjoy this game, but... if there isnt a sequel, alot of this stuff wont make any sense. please feel free to add your own rants. |

Yeah, it seemed like they ran out of ideas after that whole Sleeper thing. They couldn't figure out a way to get the barrier down that would keep the players interests, especially since none of the camps really like you at the end. |

Also, I agree with you about the Old Camp thing. I was pretty pissed when I was forced out of the Old Camp. |

1. The sleeper's unnatural power either coincidentially disturbed the delicate balance of magic, or deliberately augmented the barrier to "incubate" without the King's interference.
2. That shit about multiple endings IS blatant false ass advertising. There ARE multiple paths, but it all leads to one conclusion. Damn!
3. I know what I'd like for them to be in the sequel. The writers should definitely include them as trustworthy friends and party members for our hero!
4. Tough shit bro. The Old Camp was obviously going to be against freedom. They are the only ones that had something to lose if everyone escaped. The mercenaries(not rogues) all seem to be fallen Generals, or framed soldiers of honor, good guys. The Sect were zealots, but they (except for the last boss) have shown honor and good faith overcomes madness. Plus, if the ore barons had their way, the game would not progress.
5. You DICKHEAD! Not everyone was a criminal!! Didnt you talk to Lee? You dont even know Diego, Milten, Lester and Gorn's connection. Perhaps the corrupt nobles outside the colony eliminated their threats by framing their political enemies and sending them to Khorinis' colony. The king was desparate for ore and every little crime was punishable by slavery in the mine. I'm sure the king will get his comeuppins' in the future. Someone will hold the sceptre of Varrant and probably truly clear all foes of the realm!
6. Scar said he gets the sloppy seconds after Gomez is done. I dont know how the sect camp acquired their babes, but I feel sorry for the New Camp. I thought Charlotte would be there...
Bastard. I hope these answers were sufficient!

1. where did you come up with this crap from? you must have a different version of the game then me.
2. enough said
3. like i said in my post, if there isnt a sequel, it wont make sense.
4. where did you get that garbage about the mercenaries all being generals and framed soldiers. only one guy in the entire camp said anything about being a general. in my eyes, they were all crybaby liberals and couldnt hack it in the old camp. get me started on the sect psychos... Dave Corresh wasnt a frickin over pouring with honor or faith.. he ran a stupid cult... same stuff here.
5. now name calling.... ok, you cock sucking whore... "not everyone was a criminal"... just like in the real world, if you ask someone in the pen what they did wrong, they are gonna say some BS that makes it look like the system was just out to get them, and they were frickin alter boys at the local church. whether they were innocent or not doesnt mean squat, they escaped from a prison confinement. The King is gonna have the ass.

actually hes right about the fallen general thing. there are a couple books that describe the whole deal within the New Camp library, and elsewhere as well. Lee himself was responsible for one of the greatest military victories in the kingdom, and was thus punished, not because he commited a true crime, aside from victory over immeasuable odds.
the sleeper comment is also accurate, and was actualyl stated by Xardas, on more than one occasion.
as for Lester and the homies, I expect they will play some role in the sequel. A major role, or a cameo I dont know, but a role of some type in any case. Regardless, I am looking forward to a sequel.
as for name calling. STFU newb. no need for either of you to say it, but this is online , so i suppose that means its all well and good to do such a thing. though its not, but who cares. feelings are real, and no one seems to understand that. And I do expect that now you'll immaturely insult me as well, as it's the nature of younging to do such a thing to try to "save face" . Just know that whatever you say, I coudl care less. |

"Anony" loves the attention. And I only reply to him because I love to be entertained! Hes our little monkey whether he (or she) knows it or not.
Thats also why I play video games. No shame in that! Right?
