LotR: The Third Age (PS2) - Review @ 3D Avenue

3D Avenue has reviewed the PS2 edition of EA's console-only RPG 'Lord of the Rings: The Third Age'. Rating: 87%.
Electronic Arts capitalize on another chance to use their license on Lord Of The Rings, this time moving away from the action based genre that was The Two Towers and Return of the King and comfortably embracing an RPG format. The large success of those games would definitely have gamers convinced the next game will be even better, having said that would it change their minds if they were aware that it's now Turn Based RPG? Fans of Lord of the Rings and RPG's will be most happy with this title since it doesn't require you to have played an RPG before to get into the gameplay, and the simplicity welcomes everyone with open arms.

This game was very mediocre. Still, I had a great time in "Evil Mode" smashing Gandalf with the Balrog's flaming sword and killing Eowyn with the Whitch King's mace!
