one of the focus stone is? Diego whacks at him and it does nothing. I am level 12 guard,
sword of death, scrolls but no magic. I also see the winch has the usual problem with jamming.
Do I ignore the troll and teleport inside. find the focus and just ignore Diego? |

I used storm of fire spell to kill the troll. It took many hits with that spell to kill it. I don't know how a fighter would do it, sorry.  Only thing I can think of is if maybe you can get a shrink monster scroll and shrink it. |

There should be a shrink monster spell on the ground there, Thats what I did. |

yeah shrink monster does it; it should be in the midst of a pile of bones along with two halves of a journal which drops a few hints about troll killing. those things are hard to find i admit. fortunately diego is invulnerable and can destract the beast as long as u need.  he also fixes the winch |

I am pretty sure that I used the ork hammer to crush the bastard, wasn't too hard, and didn't take many hits with diego distracting it. |

First time through I had a ton of strength and actually beat him down with a weapon. Second time through, it took the shrink scroll to make it happen.

i just ignored it and ran in and got the focus. When it was over I ran away. I killed him later when I got URUZIEL |

I was a melee first time with (close to 100 strength), just killed him (fairly easily I might add) with my 2H weapon.
Next time, I use the shrink spell and arrows. Third time, I used fireballs.

Hmm... The gate is closed and the winch is jammed until Diego fixes it. You are probably talking about a quest for the Troll tusk for Ulu-Mulu. That's a different story. |
