It's Noober not Gooder. Easy mistake though, he is a goober.

Luckily no matter how high your reputation was, you didn't loose any for killing him. I always play as good characters, I like helping the good people and slaughtering the evil ones. But even I had to kill Noober. I can still here that 'hey there!' At least Mud will go away for a little while if you punch him.

hahaha, I remember that guy
Noober, reminds me of a Noob. omg that guy was annoying as all hell, I never killed him though, that game was corny in that if you killed one person in the area they all went hostile, since I had all my AIs scripted for aggressive....hostile NPCs took dirtnaps REAL fast if they acted up near my party. I would just walk around the entire town that leave through that exit he used to hang out at

Probably because everyone in town was happy to see him dead. If anything, you should get a reputation boost for killing him.

Or you could just let him babble and walk away with some experience points.

In BG1 yes... a good chunk. Enough to justify his life. In BG2... you get some useless sling stones +1 and a pitiance of experience from his cousin Neeber. He's worth nuking to save time. Sometimes it doesn't get that far, though, as rarely Korgan will declare that he can't take it any more and berserk on poor Neeber.

I can not believe that annoying nit had any purpose! I *hated* going into that town, just because I had to dodge that twit. Aggggg. Killing him never crossed my mind - but I wish I'd done it, experience award or no

How did Mud disappear in Chapter 2? Well, unless you've killed him...
