Can't get in the crypt - whats with this keyring??

Arrgh!!!

Carlo gave me a crypt key and i put it on my keyring but nothing happens when i try the keyring on the door.
Can anyone help, my last save was days ago.

Hi!

The key must be used on the lock near the gate (on the left wall, where a public notice is).
