| Becoming a Vampire - and YES i've read all the posts on vamp |

I don't believe this issue has been addressed. I'm a level 20 Orcish Knight. I killed Dagoth Ur, the game is basically over. Instead of just wandering around finishing faction quests I figured I'd become a vampire. So I sought one out, near Dagon Fel. Unfortunately, I can't get bitten. I just sit there and let these vamps hit me but I get no indication that I was bitten. They seem to just cast spells or hit me with some weapon. Will it tell you when you get bitten or show up as one of your effects? I have the Morrowind Guidebook and have tried the Aurunae (spelling) clan so far. Am I too high a level or something to get bitten? |

If you finished the main quest, you can't become a Vampire anymore. Part of the main quest involved getting cured of Coprus disease. After you're cured of Coprus, you're immune to all diseases, which include vampirism.
When I felt the need to become a Vampire for thrills, I created a new character.
