Kill everyone

Is it possible to finish off the game if you kill all npcs? I recall reading somewhere that you can as long as you have the latest patch. There are some characters I would very much like to kill off but I don't want to do this if it stops me from finishing the game. Also, is it possible to skip dialogue? I am currently trying to give a character an item but not sure what to give so I'd like to try them all. Only thing is, everytime I try to give him something, he refuses, and then I have to wait for him to finish his big speech till I can try another.

You can not kill all npc's until you are ready for the last battle. Then you can go back and wipe them all out. But until then, there may be one or two you will need..When you get to that point you will know it. Getting rid of all of them may help push you into one more level so I always did that last minute killing spree.

What about trolls and goblins? There are trolls blocking passage ways to other areas. I have to do something for them to get past but Id rather just kill them. Is it safe to kill every creature except the humans? Thanks a bunch for the help so far.

No, not yet. Once you get the trolls to do the work for the king, do a few quests for the Troll king, and have a chance to talk to one of the trolls you find deeper in their caves, you can get rid of them. But wait for now. Same with goblins. You will need them for side quests for a while. They will end up all attacking you and then you can wipe them out. Any that attack are open season of course. But there are several side quests that depend on them at first.

YES! You can kill EVERYONE at ANY time and still finish the game. How do I know that? Because I did it! I killed everyone I saw the first time I saw them. All that happens is that you get the bad ending and there is virtually NO story or cutscreens. That is the cool thing about this game. You are free to do whatever you want and you can still finish the game.

Trust me, you don't have to worry about killing anyone. I killed Shany, all the trolls, the King, everyone in the tavern, and everyone else you can think of, all without ever listening to what they even had to say. Basically, I was an evil murderous prison escapee only out for himself. cool huh?

That's no fun!! whatever happened to use, THEN abuse?? lolz

i did the quests, got the XP, checked the walkthru to make sure they don't turn up again, and THEN killed them except for the dragon and greu.. i killed the dragon early on, mostly simply for fun, becuase i thought she was going to be a challenge at the time.. (so much for that idea...), but it turned out better for me since i could get ALL her eggs for free yay

As for greu, he's cool.. "hello greu friend, me happy to see greu's friend"

He's the only person i didn't kill.. even an evil nut of a guardian like me (who likes to destroy everyone who's life i'm saving before i get to the saving part) didn't have the black heart to kill him.. even tho i DID practice some interesting spells on him before reloading lolz

hee hee... occasionally I like to save the game, then run around on a mad rampage seeing how much mayhem I can render. Then, with a heavy heart, I re-load it and continue playing the game 'properly'. I do this with almost all RPG's at one time or another... am I a sicko or is this quite normal?

I guess I am too then. When I finished the game, I reloaded a save, went and killed everyone and everything in site.
Got to see the kings inventory, and his room. Be sure to do that and get the gate key for the doors near the tavern by the outpost. It was different. lol

I never understood how that big gate could lead to arx... for one thing, wot's the point of having an outpost if the main gate is OUTSIDE the outpost?! also, when you open that gate, where in arx does it lead to?

I've killed the king a couple of times on mad rampages, but i never opened the gate since it's normally the outpost that dies before arx, and arx before the castle lolz..

Oh, and the walkthru sux It said the temple of akbaa would be full of ylsides... but there were only 3 .. I was expecting like 9 or 10.. i wanna kill more ylsides Even arx only had 4 or 5 of em.. and the castle had 4.. How many ylsides does the bunker have??

And it also sux that you don't get speed when u get ylside armour..

Also, has anybody figured out the level 9 and level 10 5th magic spells? i can't seem to find them anywhere..
