That's easy for you to say. To people like me, who don't know code, it's a pretty good trick.

Hit the PrtScn button on your keyboard, this will copy the contents of the screen to your clipboard. Hit Ctrl+Esc, this will minimize Gothic. Open Photoshop, if you don't have image editing software open Paint (it's the program in your Start menu under Programs/Accessories). Then choose the Paste command. Kind of a pain in the arse but easy once you do it a couple times.

Yeah! I did that too. And when I bought the game, I regretted that because I knew the entire geography of the overworld map!! |

DAMN! It gets copied to the clipboard!
No wonder! I was looking all over the place for the screen grab files!
However, I guess that means you can only snap one at a time... and its a bitch to load, load and reload the game just to get good shots. |

No, no...further along in my post I mentioned hitting Ctrl+Esc to minimize Gothic while you do something with the screenshot on your clipboard. Then just go to the task bar and click on Gothic to maximize it again. You don't have to shut down and re-start Gothic. Now, mind you I haven't tried any of this yet, but it sure seems like it should work...

Its risky for my computer to switch tasks, but I have to say Gothic has the most stable "Windowed Mode" for such a graphic intensive game! Seriously! Sometimes it crashes, but most of the time its like... whoo! I can see my desktop and play Gothic |
