Getting potions brewed without alchemy |
|
I have been saving several rare ingredients (like King's Sorrel and Goblin Berries) in hopes that sometime in the future I will find someone who can brew those great permanent enchancement potions for me.
So far I have met the guy in the Monastery (I am a Milita person) who will go up to a speed potion. I am currently in Chapter 3.
My question is: Am I wasting my time saving these items when I know I am not going to invest points in alchemy? Will I have an opportunity to give them to someone else to brew or should I just go ahead and use them now and get their limited benefits (for example, Goblin Berries gives +1 Dex). I am most interested in the Elixir of Strength and Elixir of Dexterity potions.
Please don't give me specifics like names and where, etc. Just a simple Yes it is possible or No its not possbile. I am trying not to get spoiled too much.
Thanks. _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

I asked the same question eariler and I was told that there was no one unless you were a paladin, and even then the answers I got were a bit shotty so I don't think there is anyway until the very end. Or so it seems from the answers to my post. Even then though I don't know exactly if you need alchemy knowledge or not. I assumed there must be someone I can pay to do it for me because I'm in the same boat as you but unless someone answers this post with better results than mine I think we are both stuck with dragons root and gobiln berries for breakfast. |

Oh, I forgot... there are certain foods that up your mana or str if you eat enough of them. And a quest in the merc camp for a good +4 str when it is all done. Not to mention praying at shrines once a day for upto a +11 strength bonus (that is random though so it may require saving, trying, failing, reloading and trying again). I would still like to know the answer to your original question though. |

LOL. Yeah, seems like we want an answer to the same burning question. I already couldn't wait and used up most of my Dragon Roots. I couldn't resist just being a few STR points away from using this weapon I found.
The thing is, I am planning on becoming a Palladin, but the most important part of my question is: Do I have to learn alchemy to brew the high level permanent potions, or can I find someone who I can pay to make them providing I have the indgredients.
There is a guy in the Monastery who will brew Elixir of Health, Elixir of Mana, and a Speed Potion. So I am wondering if later on there will be another person who can do even higher level potions for you provided you have the ingredeints. _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

Cool, I didn't know about the foods. Been doing the shrines, though. Think I"ve gotten about +6 STR from that so far. I'll keep plugging away.
Thanks for the info. _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

If you want permament increase potions - sorry but need to learn alchemy. Don`t worry if explore game max You will get enough learning points to use some for this purpose. Neoras in monastery will do only those 3 potions.
There is a slightly chance that someone I didn`t take, like Lester, may brew potions of this kind in chapter 6. So maybe someone knows and could spread some light here, please?
Oh, don`t be too rush with praying. Later it will give You double amount. |
