If you men the goblin in the start of the game, which is over the collapsed "mine", I think anyone who can handle the controls was able to do that. _________________

This is simple. Gig has the equation for damage, for the most part, correct. The equation goes like this:
Damage = (Strength + Weapon damage) - Protection from weapons
Gig might think Uriziel was awesome cuz it seems like it has weapon damage of 150. In fact, Uriziel has a weapon damage of 0. that's right, 0. It has fire damage of 30 and magic of 120. Uriziel doesnt do weapon damage, so strength has nothing to be added to. Uriziel's damage would do as follows:
(120 - Protection from magic) + (30 - Protection from fire)
See? nothing to do with weapon damage. The troll's weapon protection doesnt even come into play. the troll's fire protection negates the fire damage, and its magic damage is reduced a bit as well.
Even considering a creature with no protection at all, Innos's Rage is still better. No matter what, Uriziel will do 150 damge. Whether your strength is 30 or 100, that is still only 150 damage. Innos's Rage with 100 strength does 210 damage, 60 more than Urizel. If you get your strength up higher, even more damage. Personally, I have my strength up 200, meaning my damage with Innos's Rage is a whopping 310 damage (minus weapons protection, of course).
And there you have it. Mathematically proven that Innos's Rage is a better weapon. _________________ I don't do autographs. |

the best "normal" weapon in the game is the troll fist axe at 100 damage even....

Lares Axe is by far the best,, simply because with it you are the most powerful man in the camp at only level 7... _________________ \\//\\//\\//

I prefer to use custodian blade, you can "borrow" it from allmoust any templar in the swampcamp, besides its one of the most stylish weapons in the game. _________________ The focused mind can pierce through stone |

Or you could be a good citizen and buy it off scorpio (or mug him, whatever floats your boat). I thought scar's sword was the best in the game, I just prefered 1 handers because they are faster and look better with the guards armours. _________________

Well, i think there are only 2 good reasons for Uriziel to be in game, both
have already been stated, good weapon for low strenght and the rune,
which is IMO by far the best and most powerful weapon in Gothic.
I do agree that Innos' rage is better than the charged Uriziel.
Btw, today i finished Gothic for the 4th time and just before you go into
the sleepers temple and meet Xardas (6th chapter), some really wierd things happened. Milten had the Uriziel equiped and Xardas had
2 (two!!! ) Uriziel Wave of Death runes for sale (already had mine).
I had gone through the entire game without typing MARVIN one single time, so...
If anyone wants, i could get screenshots. _________________ For all you headbangers, check out my band's page @ http://www.black-oath.com |

:rpgrin:don't act so supprised, all games have weird little bugs like that and i can guarantee that gothic isnt the exception mainly because of that one that was mentioned and because of the others that i found |

I do like Gothic a lot, but i never said it's perfect. (no flamming intended ) Yes, it is full of bugs, like the strafe-when-falling,
Gorn beating you up in the Free Mine etc. But i still don't understand why
unique items spawn in NPCs inventories...
Well, as the saying goes, ignorance is a bliss _________________ For all you headbangers, check out my band's page @ http://www.black-oath.com |

I heard that Nellik's Sword was the best weapon in Gothic. Of course, the sword is very difficult to acquire; but once you get it, you are almost indestructable. With any great sword there is a great story, perhaps, after some rice schnapps... |

I've never even heard of that sword. If we are talking about weapons that do the best damage, Innos' Rage is the best at 110 damage. if we are talikng about the best weapon is the coolest, than either the Guards Sword or Revenge Steel are the best looking swords. The War Axe (looks just like Lee's axe) is what i think is the best looking axe in the game. The best looking mace weapon is the Steel Tongue. The best looking bow is the Storm Bow and the coolest spell is Breath of Death _________________

I fear you may be mistaken gentle traveler. Nellik's Sword is by far the most destructive weapon in all of Gothicdom. Rumor has it that, when yielded, Nellik's Sword can produce 180, yes even 200 damage. Scribbles, hear me well, if you can find Nellik's Sword I guarentee you that you will become indestructable and all men and beasts will run from you. But, alas, therein lies the rub, Nellik's Sword is very hard to find. |
