| sometimes a chest lights up and sometime it doesn't. |

I just got this game. Sometimes the word chest will be there when I stand by a chest, then I can reload and walk by that same chest and it will not. This goes with everything on the ground. How do you arm yourself? How do you talk to others? system spec's win98se, gf2 ultra det28.90, 1598 t-bird, 512 ddr ram, sb audigy. Please help.

To arm yourself, go to the inventory screen (tab is default key), hi-light the item and press up.
To talk to others, hi-light them until you see their names, and then hold action key (ctrl/left mouse) and press up.
To see the word chest appear, you need to hi-light the chest. Hold action key and press up to open it.

Thanks dude, that did it. Wierd controls. Funny how everything lights up when you have something on your back.

The controls are simple. (Ctrl or LMB) + up does almost everything. If you are right-handed use alternative keyboard mapping.
