Crash restarts WinXP

Multiple times, the game crashed for no reason.

The majority of times it rebooted the whole machine, but once it
kicked me to the desktop.

Has anyone else experienced this?

WinXP says it's a problem with my Radeon 8500.

Athlon XP 2100+
512MB DDR 2100
ASUS A7V266-E motherboard
ATI Radeon 8500 64MB (ATI)
80GB 7200 Maxtor
SoundBlaster Audigy

Start with the basics, are all your drivers up to date?

Same thing...

but only after I upraded from on board audio to a Audigy Soundcard. Morrowind worked fine until the upgrade...and I have the latest drivers. I did uninstall and re-install...no crashes yet..but only played for 5 minutes. I will keep ya updated.

Re: Auto Restart

This probably won't help your problem but if you don't want WinXP to automatically restart the machine for you do this:

1.Looking at your desktop right click on MY COMPUTER and go Properties.
2. Hit the Advanced Tab and under Startup and Recovery go to Settings.
3. Under System Failure uncheck Automatically restart.

At least now you will get the blue screen that tells you what happend or it will just say it encountered an error and has to shut the application off.
