Errors, really bad ones... need help if possible |
|
Some proble trying to check my data files.
Load TESInfo() in constructor failed with error: the operation completed successfully. Continue running executable? Cancel is " Yes to all "
I just wanted to see my saved files because I cant seem to load any of my saved games for some reason... when I highlight the mouse cursor over a couple of the saved files, it doesnt show that the file is actually functional or anything. I cant really explain it much, but when I click on load game on the main menu of MW, it takes a while to get there and then I hear a little noise before it shows my files.... the files I can't load.
If anyone can help me in this problem please do, thanks everybody. |

Does anyone think if I make a copy of all my saved files and uninstall the game then reinstall, everything would be fixed? Any suggestions? |

Without knowing anything else about the error, it sounds like it's a problem with an entire group of commands in the main Morrowind game file. If I got this error, I would uninstall and reinstall the game as you've mentioned, then call customer support if it keeps happening. Backups of your saved games are always useful. |

Also, and this is a shot in the dark, have you played around with the game's INI file by any chance? |

When you uninstall Morrowind, it may ask you if you want to keep your saved games. If you want to make a copy manually, open Windows Explorer or "My Computer". Be sure that the Explorer or My Computer window *doesn't* take up the whole screen. Select the hard drive that Morrowind is stored on. Navigate to the folder:
\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind
Highlight the "Saves" folder. Press the control key WHILE dragging that folder onto your desktop, where you have all of your icons and stuff. This copies your folder with your saved games. When you reinstall Morrowind, navigate to the Morrowind folder again and move the saved games folder back to the Morrowind folder. |
