Yes.
Old Camp: You can become a mage after wiping out the mine crawlers in Chapter 2.
New Camp: You can't become a mage until after serving as a mercenary. So you become one later in the game.
Sect Camp: You are limited to the 4th circle. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

If you're going to be a mage, join the old camp, then you can join the new camp once things get ugly. That way you're a mage constantly and don't get wrapped up in the affairs of melee combat.
If you join the Brotherhood, then you're taking the strongest path, since the Templar have access to the 3rd circle spell pyrotechnics which is too good for it's own cause. |

Actaully you can use spells from any camp just as long as you are up to that circle. Joining a different camp doesn't affect your ability to buy and use the other camp's runes. _________________ =Moderator of The RPGDot Shadows=
