How do I rest in the swamp |
|
The battles are not tough but it seems impossible to rest. Are safe places or is fight for every inch I move. The battles really are not only boring but pointless. I will lose only because my mage and priest are completely out of spell points |

You can rest in Crock's house. Or, I found the log where you get the blue feather to be a good place as well. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

If you're just getting started on the swamp (coming from Trynton), Crock and the tree might take some fights to get to. As a closer (but not as safe)alternative, there's a cove just north of the southwest corner of the map (by the tar pits). Wedge yourself into a corner and sleep away. If you have the shadow hound spell, use it first. You might be rudely awakened, but it's one of the few places in the swamp you can get favorable terrain. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

If you want fewer fights in the swamp stay off the road!
It's possible to get to Crocks without having to fight a single fight, then you can work from his place and clear the area and rest undisturbed at his place.
Alternatives are the huts in the north, any crevice that you can back into along the walls, and logs. |

I also liked using the foliage to camouflage where I rested. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Yah, if you have any speed at all the swamp is open enough that you should be able to dodge the red dots, and if you do get in Combat, you can run away before they surround you. This is another place where having developed Stealth came in really handy. |

You can rest anywhere in the swamp without being disturbed, as it's a matter of random luck. I initially explored the swamp by following the southern edge, and once I got far into it mostly rested with my back covered as much as possible. At the very first I would go into the swamp, fight a few battles, and run out into Trynton area (not all the way back, just out of the swamp) to rest. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E.
