Starting to play Gothic once more again ;)

Something hit me, I got bored with NWN and Morrowind does not strike one bit at the moment. So...

I'm starting Gothic from the beginning once more again

Wish me luck

Heh, I feared you are going to say:

May the MUD be with you, forever!

I would've cried, loud. This time I will try to get some good kills on him!

MUD

This is his second time... I guess.

You really want to start from the beginning? Not interested in starting just before joining a camp from a saved game?

This is the second time for me. I really wanted to start again from the beginning, doing all the quests I want to. Trying a completely different approach this time.

Besides, the game is great. The world is liven there.

The second time will be a lot easier and more relaxed because you know all combat techniques and know which ressources can be found where.

Actually, I just noticed that I can not fight at all decently . It has been quite a long time since I played Gothic last, so I will pretty much have to learn some things again.

It really is fun again

Good luck. May the trip through the colony quench your thirst until GII arrives.

Good luck! I play Gothic the second time now. Firs I played a warior. It was easy and booring! Nothing but slash and slash! Now I am a mage. This is totally diferent and I like it. How do you play (Warior, mage, ranger)?

I'm not in the point yet where I have to decide it, but I will play mage this time. It will be different I know

Playing melee is pretty easy, thats true.

Basically, I think you have to join the old camp to be a mage early in the game. True?

This time try to be friends with Mud. Yes, I know he does get to be a little annoying at first; but that's just because you don't know him well enough. Later in the game you will be glad you befriended him. Yes, I remember it well, late at night, after some rice schnaps, Mud wearing his pink teddy, the moon reflecting off his eyes...yes, I remember it well. Perhaps, I can tell you some tales of Mud, perhaps after some rice schnaps....perhaps...

Well, yes. You could (but don't have to) jouin the old camp to become a mage early. You will have a second chance in chapter 4. I did that during my first play, but the magoc circles were just a waste of points so I loaded a save game. Basicly playing a mage is dificult at the beggining. After gaining circle 4 you won't have big problems, but you must be aware that you must ceep your enemies on distance. If they come close, run like hell (acrobathics is usefull). Oh and did someone make Mud folowing to the end of the game? Maybe later on he gives you a bonus or a quest or something ?
