| Pick Pocketing ... i read, but still need help! |

Ok, I read the forums, and tried to get the skill through Thorben I think his name is, and u need to do the Matteo quest. Now, for some reason I'll talk to him, but he has no quest for me, and i've checked all my current/failed/completed quests, and it's not under any of those, so obviously i havent been given the quest. I'm a fire mage in chapter 2 if that somehow affects it.
Now I also read you can join the thieves guild and get it that way...Is this possible for me? Is it too late? Will me being in the mages guild disallow it?

No one is prevented from joining the thieves and their are two ways, first piss them all off and then kill attila, take his key, enter the guild and get their respect. Or you can do all the theives guild quests which are explained 50,000 times on this board. |

You can make Thorben to teach You but not after doing Mateo`s quest but while. After You return money to Mateo it may be too late to start it. When You will be given MAteos quets first talk to Thorben, then get money from Gritta, then talk to Thorben. And in the end give money to MAteo.
There may be one more way to do it. After You aquire Lehmar`s (money dealer) book of debtors this option may appear if You give this book to Thorben. Never tried because in that moment I already knew lockpicking.
If not then as hereticv stated - thieves are another option. Good luck. |

Ya, i think i'm going to have to get it through the thieves guild, cuz matteo doesnt seem to be showing me the love :/
