ok im a milita, im not doing everything i possibly can, but i want to do more than average for chapter one. now i was just wondering, if you become a paladin before you go to valley of mines (begginning of chapter two), or if there is another way you get better armour before going. all the other guilds have better armour before valley of mines so i just wanted to know, thanks. |

You can't become a paladin before chapter three.
I don't think you can get a better than militia armor until you get to the castle in the valley. |

minecrawlerplates armor - go to grom near onars farm and learn how to get minecrawlerplates of the minecrawlers. kill some of those beasts in caves and get the plates, go to wolf and talk to him about making armors or something like that ( i don't know if this is before or after you went to the valley of mines, but it's a better armor then a knights armor.)
good luck

Actually, to even know the existance about the Minecrawler Plate Armor, you need to talk to Gastath first. He's standing at the entrance of the Stone Fortress, and to see him, the hero must pass through clans of orcs, which may not be a very good idea for weaker players.
In a sense, the Minecrawler Plate Armor is worse than a Heavy Militia Armor. If you want more spoiler, NRVkroger, I may post some stats of both armors for you. |

Pikkon, go to the red lantern and go upstairs, talk to a dark fellow( i don't know if have to talk to someone else first, like lord adre) tell him that he has to get back or something, follow him to the barracks (talk to andre, but not that he was in the red lantern!!!) talk to the dark fellow at the barracks smithy, you can buy the heavy militia armor of him now.
hope i'm right
good luck, and nice meeting you pikkon and welcome to the familly of the gothic 2 spoilers . _________________ Gothic2 is the best RPG game ever made!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that you can't get heavy militia armor from Peck (the fellow in the Red Lantern who needs to get back to the barracks for Andre). He does however give you a nice sword if you don't tell Andre he was at the Red Lantern (he gives you a crap sword if you tell him he was ).
You can't find heavy militia armor until you get to the castle in the Valley of Mines (aka the old camp) and talk to someone there, I forget who...he's in charge of all the supplies and will sell you the armor for, I think, 2500 coins. |

I'm not completely sure you can actually get it as a merc. Maybe if you knock him out and use an oblivion scroll...
Anyhow I played as a paladin and I went to the valley of mines in chapter 2, and got it. I wouldn't recommend going to the valley of mines if you're only level 13. You'll prolly end up getting your ass handed to you =) |

Hi Jestah & Pikkon, thanks
Heheheh yeahhh I am now in chapter 2...but not enter the valley yet.
I am still going around killing monsters to level up. The spooky forest and the pyramide.
However..some members mentioned that lvl 12 - 15 is normal to enter the VOM......but some say I am still too weak.
So which is the more realistic level to enter the VOM? If we do enter VOM in chapt 2...is it possible to avoid orcs by sneak or alternate routes or we have to go head on with them? I am sure if thats the case...even at level 20..its pure suicide. |

Accually its not suicide whn you are strong egnof.. (whan i first enters the vally of mines i culd kill a single orc warrior with Very big problems.. so what? i enterd it anyway.. you can try to avoid the orc but sooner or later you will have to face tham.. (Or run like hell.. )
just think positiv and dont forget, its a game you can alweys load a saved game.. |
