Akil and farmhands are dead.

I am so frustrated. After killing a zillion skeletons at the tomb near the landowner and getting close to leveling up again, I went back to Akil's farm and found Akil, Ehnim, and Egill dead. They were each in different places.

The only thing that I can think that happened as that I lead some monsters back to them. But shouldn't the bodies be bunched up in the same spot if that was the case? At one point I restored to before discovering them and then found Akil in a different spot.

Unfortunately for me, I have a save just prior to spending my last set of LP's and they are alive in that one. Now I need to decide, do I give up the thousands of LP's I got at the tomb or restore and let poor Katie have a few more years with her husband.

Do I need Akil in the rest of the game? I will be a mage.

Does anyone have any ideas of how they died, if I didn't lead an army of skeletons or wrogs to them?

Aguess a shadowbeast picked up your trail and killed everyone who standed between you and the beast. After killing them, shadowbeast probably gave up chasing you, because he had all the meat it'd ever need.

It happened to me, so I know

Yeah, you need those guys later for at least 2 quests, one for thieves and another concerning Randolph. They scattered probably because the clock ticked over to the next day and all dead people go back to where they would have been had they been alive. (wierd--dead people should not move )

I'm in Chapter 1, but I did the quest with them and the mercenaries. That was a long time ago. I guess it was the shadowbeast. Poor family. But I resurrected them. I just wouldn't enjoy the rest of the game as much with them dead, so I gave up my 3000 LP and replayed. Now I've caught up again. But, believe me, I went back to check they were all alive before every save:) Guess I should check out the rest of the cast too:)

This is a different quest in chap 2 or 3 having to do with some lost sheep. You'll find out. Good luck.

Well, that didn't exactly happen to me, but when I lead about three Lurker's near to Balthazar's place, one of the farm hands got killed. It's kind of funny; not because he's still laying there, but because one of his friends is standing over his body and never moves - almost like a loyal dog or something. I hope he doesn't blame me for the whole ordeal.
