| Is it considered cheating if.... |

[{(POTENTIAL SPOILERS)}]
Would anybody consider escaping from the Sleeper's temple right before defeating him cheating? I mean after taking all those awesome stat increasing potions, then almost beating the sleeper, then right before piercing the fifth heart, leaving the temple and playing out in the world, just to play around with the new godlike powers? and post anything else you may think might be chaeting but are unsure of.

Well, the whole deal is, that once you get to the Sleepers temple, you get locked in. I just pulled out a little marvin mode and 'let' myself through the gate. Cool thing is, after leaving the temple, the water mages aren't pissed at you anymore, so you can go through the new camp again without being magicked to death by the damn mages.

Maybe you have more fun if you import your char into an older savegame.

Gothic is a single player game--you can't really cheat. You're playing all by yourself so it's up to you what to do. It's only cheating if what you do affects other players. So I say go for it--have a little fun!  |

I never did this myself. You can find the console commands to write your char to a file and read it back in in the cheat guide.

If you beat the game already I personally would not consider it cheating but keep in mind you don't want to get in any bad habits for G2

Yeah...Now when I play Gothic the only cheat I use is F8. It's just less of a hasle then taking a bunch of potions. Then I use "k" to move everywhere but not the actual teleport. |

thats not cheating, using marvin mode and making yourself more powerful than all the gods ever imagined by the human mind by using the edit attribute command is cheating  |
