In chapter 5 i decided tho hunt and gain some xp before going on my boat trip.
I was looking around in a cave not far from where the eye of Innos where destroyed, when i found Xardas DEAD.
I found some runestones on him but didnt get to look closely at them before a couple of lizzard men attacked me, and i died.
I reloaded the game and Xardas was gone!
Of al the bugs in G2 this one i actally liked.  |

many npc's die if u follow then into the wildneres cause the meet some opponents that's beyond them, and if u load then it's probably to find him, on thic case, in his tower |

its nice to follow some characters around sometimes.
you'll often learn some shortcuts aswell 
and some just show how much work went into it.
like when you follow the assistant to the head of the town of Khorinis he will be attacked by a seeker for understandable reasons |

Hehe its kind a funny i also tried to follow Xardas as a Paladan when he engage a fight against the magic Golem Muaha just both of them is unbeatable an Xardas fell down from the hill and he just walked op an atacked again hehe until he just gave up and walked Afterwards i also found Xardas dead in a cave i think its the same cave like you mentioned
you can also in further chapters hit Lord hagen and every body else atack him hehe its kind a funny to look at until you just reload he is also Unbeatable
