The Fall: Mutant City Expansion in Development? |
|
German site Demonews.de has news a stand-alone expansion for Silver Style's The Fall is in development, called 'Mutant City' (which is interesting if accurate because the backstory for The Fall doesn't really suit mutants, as I understand it). According to NMA, it will pack "a new storyline, new quests, eight new party characters, all set in the year 2086."

With any luck, we'll see the English release of the original before then. |

Never have I seen the English-speaking markets jerked around so much as has happened with this game. I was still interested in "The Fall" just last month, but now I know I will give it a pass. I hope it fails miserably in NA and English predominant Europe. |

The wait for and lack of ETA on the original is pretty disappointing. Has the English speaking world become this marginalized? |

The game "The Fall" was the easiest game I've ever had to return.I bought it online from Amazon.de(German version) and returned it with a short note saying this game was "unfinished crap".They refunded my money without a problem. |

Its interesting that they are starting a new one without finishing the first one. And here we were living in a fantasy that the German release was a really a Beta release for the English market.
So far the first few Fallout clones have been disappointing. |

I just don't get it. With all of the millions of English-speaking people in the US, Canada, Britain, and Australia, I don't understand why a developer who has already gone through all of the effort of releasing one version wouldn't go through the relatively small effort of releasing an English one. How many copies do you have to sell to make back that investment? 10,000 copies? 20,000 copies? It can't be very large. If you don't want to pay for new voice acting, then just subtitle the damn thing with German voices. With everyone so incredibly desperate for a decent RPG on the PC, I can't see how this thing wouldn't sell if it were just halfway decent. |

Because The Fall is still not finished. The next patch will still add significant things like lip synchronous dialogs. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

The German version isn't finished? I thought that it had been patched a bunch of times. |
