just a quick question. are there multiple endings to arx fatalis? i killed akbaa and have been sent back to the noden only to leave arx still in the dark. also, i never really found out what the connection between the snake women and alia was--just something about the serpents getting a new queen or something. also, if there are multiple endings, how many are there? what happens in each ending? _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. It seems there is only one ending for defeating Akbaa. However there are multiple outcomes with respect to Arx's fractions (kingdom, rebels, snake women). The outcomes I am talking about are played through the cutscene trigered just before Am Shegar enters the Ylsides bunker for final comfrontation.
So far I've seen three different outcomes:
- Am Shegar betrays Alia to Snake women
- Am Shegar does not betray Alia to Snake women and does not solve her birth secret.
- Am Shegar does not betray Alia to Snake women and solves her birth secret. _________________ - Merz |

okay, great. how do you not betray alia? i have searched all over arx and no one seems to be willing to talk to me about embuing the ulitimate weapon with magic except the snake woman. but that means giving alia up to them. however, if i go to talk with alia she doesn't seem too bothered by my sword problems. on the contrary, she is still thanking me for providing the shield & rambling on about the same old garbage she always does. so, what am i missing? or who do i need to talk to? at one point i even tried to cast the spell myself! but, i responded by saying to myself: "i don't think i should do that." _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. There are "enchant object" scrolls and a spell in the game so you just do it yourself. (don't know the magic requirement). I guess you already knew that part though
small spoiler:
After forging the correct sword, get the Dragon Egg and the magic (scroll or spell). Use the egg on the sword and then enchant the sword _________________ T®îßã£Måñ

There must be a very low magik requirement for enchanting the meteor weapon, since it is main quest related (my character was at 16% of spellcasting skill). Just apply a dragon egg to the weapon and then use the enchant scrol and cast the spell. _________________ - Merz |

Hmm. I did something a little different just to see. I loaded up a save before I crossed the final barrier and went and killed the rebel queen, Alia, to see what kind of ending I would get. After this and enchanting the sword I returned to the barrier and no one stops me, therefore no cutscene.
Well since I had the two rings (forget there names) I decided to return to the snake women's lair to see what would happen being that I had killed the rebel leader. I was looking for an ending and expecting something like: "You killed who? That was our future queen and salvation you MORON! Now You Die!!!"
Upon returning I could find none of the snake women. To my surprise, they had all turned into rats. _________________ T®îßã£Måñ
