This may sound stupid, but...

where in the hell is the freemine?

i'm not sure that i've ever come across it and i don't know where to begin looking.

You're right it is a stupid question.

However, I had to get the map from here to figure it out myself. I wandered around for close to 2 hours real time trying to figure it out. Doh! I wonder what I missed in Chapters 1-3 by not realizing it was there.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one with this malady.

Now I just need to find another shrink scroll to get my troll. Any ideas anyone?

You can buy the shrink scrolls in Chapter 5. Xardas has some for sale.
