| Level 8 - Black Beast - Jumping Platforms - Instant Death |

I've run from the black beast and am on the platforms in room 24 of level 8.
I can jump between the first three platforms quite easily, but I can't jump from the first set to the second set. I always come down short of the middle platform.
I can't cast levitate here. I don't have a levitate scroll either, but I doubt that would work any better.
Am I supposed to take a running jump? What platform of the other three should I aim for?
Do I need a certain level of dex to make this jump? I have 13 with a ring and bow with dex charm.

I failed a couple times trying to jump, but if you walk back as far as you can the run and jump at the last minute u can make the platform to the right, once there its easy to get around.

I'll try it your way. I did make it to the platform closest to the ledge once again. I did that by aiming for the strip of wood leading out from the mast. But I can't get to the ledge itself, even with laying out numerous swords in front of me to step on. It seems that once I'm on the swords I can't leap. What part of the ledge did you aim for. I guess I should run catacorner towards the nearest part, even if I slam into the wall that way.
Can you give explicit instructions on getting to the ledge?

In short: take the power stone from dead dwarf, put it inside the machine in the next room (with the ladder), climb the ladder, find the lever upstairs (in the same room), wait until the beast is on the opposite side of you, pull the lever and drop down immediatelly.the squasher will react after 3 seconds (or aproximately) so when you are down just standing and the beast comes to you, it will be those 3 seconds and the squasher will kill the beast.
When you get out from the room, the second beast will appear.go back to the room where you killed the first and whe the 2nd comes, pull the lever beside the lava grate (this lever couldn't be pulled before), and the beast will fall into lava. |
