Hello-
I just became a red mage at the old camp, studied to circle 2 and have sleep, heal, firebolt and light as my spells. I'm trying to do the Orc Graveyard at the moment, and I'm getting my butt WHOOPED. I can take on one orc at a time, but even then it's a chore. I've bought the next level of robes, and have a 44 damage one-handed weapon. Is there some secret to being a mage that I'm missing out on? The firebolt spell is pretty ineffectual, and I can't seem to cast sleep on any of the orcs. Any advice would be appreciated.

It's probably not worth focussing on magic till you can get circle 3 or 4 runes to use... I used a crossbow myself, but was in new camp so didn't have magic at that stage anyway. |

Ah, I went and got the Fist of Wind spell from the brotherhood... extremely helpful  |

Fire Bolts dont bite. Fireballs do. However, Fireballs is kinda slow.
You have to live with that, until you get Firestorm.
