ToEE: Livonya's Mod Beta 1.0

A new mod for Troika's 'The Temple of Elemental Evil' has been released at Circle of Eight. You can grab Beta 1.0 of Livonya's Mod by following the link. The patch notes are huge, so here's a quick snippet:
* Re-wrote entire enemy AI with additional scripting (80+ new AI scripts)
* Created a system for enemy NPCs to attempt to Break Free
* Created a system for enemy NPCs to use "scrolls" and "wands"
* Created new system for determining distance in Random Encounters
* Created system for NPC spell casters to pre-buff with spells

* Changed experience system for setting off/disarming traps (no experience)
* The only way to gain experience from traps is to disarm them
* Added new traps and repaired broken traps
* Created new trap types

* Put kids back into TOEE with dialog
* Added new sub-plots
* Added new quests
* Added new dialogs
* Added new encounters
* Added new items
* Added new creatures
* Changed some content to add realism
* Added a new merchant (very hard to gain access to)
Make sure you read the posts on the installation...

Excellent Work!

Wow, i had a look at the list of fixes and changes and it looks like it greatly improves ToEE. Which is btw the buggiest game of all time - that's right, buggier than Sacred (gd game tho) and maybe even *gasp* Homeworld...

The mod author worked the improvements around the latest fanfix (temple.dll by Moebius - included in this mod) which was pretty awesome in the 1st place. I suggest to all CRPG enthusiasts to give this game a try..finally.

Atari and their damn habit of messing up games with potential

I hope they added an option to let your npcs get rid of their original clothes. I got 3 of them encumbered because I have to use a temple level robe and still carry around a second set shirts and pants. They went overboard on the weight system with this one.

if by buggy you mean the closest thing that ever came to get thing ever stupid rule in D&D that a 10000 14 year old rules lawyers can nitpick to death then sure.

I love this game. It was killed by non-fans. ITs no wonder Bioware is going their own IP.

I put this through Babelfish a few times, and while a few of the results were more coherent than the original, I still don't understand the language in which it is written.

funny

I apologize with the spelling mistake with "every". I was watching the Pope's funeral at the same time.

Curious, is Guest your real name? You make a lot of posts.

You obviously weren't around for the joy of 'out of the box' Daggerfall, or the lamentable 'Pool of Radiance 2'.
