Stop with the complaining thnx!!!

You all sound like my friends when they get something new for there computer. the bithcing part is that they have so much faster and advanced systems then I but its me that gets the phone calls.

So what u think it means when morrowind got realeased?

I have had more phone calls then ever.
WHy is it slow, why o why o why?!

well if it runs fine on my computer then its not your system power is it.

stuttering problems, it can be the sound drivers that suxx, or is it the right ones? SB 128,512,1024,live,5.1 etc. check this out. I hade a driver for an 512 card installed though I have an 1024 card.

FSAA can fuck up your mouse ware aswell. dont ask me why, it does okey.
if you have an old COM mouse use ps2rate. if you have an usb mouse, it can be an optical grand looking one. but it might still SUCK. and so when u move around you framerate apears as stuttering. XP is a refreshrate/mouse/mem eater or whatever. it fucks up much. thats the end of it. It will get better ofcourse. and you can have XP compliant hardware to a 100% good for you. but its most likely that u dont have a well configured system then that you have that.

its some buggs in the game, yes. Ofcourse! Its a huge game.
patches will fix this.

You cant kill? you kill to fast?

Well there is different characters in the game you now. dont have a BLUNT weapon and have 10 in it while you have 40 in axe handling.

gofigure.

Dont take me wrong I am tired of it all

I have spent more time configuration peoples computers/talking them through shit on the phone. more the last days then playing the game myself.

One of my friends even took his new gf3 ti500 64ddr card back cause he dident se any difference in Counter-strike with it.. I mean that an old gfx engine. and he had locked the framrate to 60fps in the config. so no wonder he didnt see any speedups.

well the hell to it.

plz check out "your" system. And just not try other peoples solutions.

FSAA wont work for me over resoultions of 640x480...why? I have 32mb ram on my gf2 card. But it still slows down in higher resolutions, although nothing is Antialiased.

Im sorry that you cant run it on you 2ghz p4 768mbddr 333mhz ram, gf4 ti46000.

But believe me its not your "hardware" its your "software"

I recommend(reallyreallymuchalotdoIrecommend) that you do install win98se also on you system, and do nothing else then play games on it. no photoshoping, office installing, ftp, etc, etc.

2 OS on your set is good. one with no room for experimenting. and one you can fuck up over and over again.

You asked them to stop very nicely...

But though everyone here have right to complain about everything he/she wants (that is connected with topic of forum) as long as it will be no flaming.

True.

It takes a lot of experience to tune a computer. A lot of trial and error.
I am constantly fixing/tuning computers for friends and family.
I have fun doing it. Most people do not know how. So, maybe it would
be a good idea to try to help others out if possible.

New computers from the store have terrible software setups.
I usually convince my friends and family to let me format and
start over. And their computers usually haul A** after that.

I like Windows 98SE, but my Windows XP Pro setup outperforms it.
Through a lot of trial and error.

XP Pro kicks ass with one annoyance, it locks frame rates in games to 60Hz when using Nvidia cards. Why is beyond me, and why Nvidia or MS have not fixed this yet (their latest driver release still has it screwed) is also a curious matter. Anyway, if any of you have that problem, use Powerstrip.

Running Jedi Outcast under Windows XP Pro with a GeForce3 ti200, AthlonXP 1900+, and 512megs of PC2100 RAM, I was getting between 100 and 200+ FPS.

XP Pro doesn't limit your FPS from my experiences.

Check and see what refresh rate your monitor is at when you switch into a game. It should be limited to 60 Hz unless the game itself can control refresh rate (like Operation Flashpoint). For example, without the use of powerstrip, in Counter-Strike at 1024X768 with the my refresh rate set to 100 Hz through the control panel, XP will force the monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz.

Yes and I shouldn't have refered to fps, but keep in mind that even if you are getting 100 fps, if your monitor can only refresh at 60Hz, it won't make a bit of difference. You'll see 60 frames per second.
