I haven't seen much regarding the optimization when using Win2000...let's see if anyone can help me with this system:
Windows 2000
Dual PIII 450
NVidia Riva TNT2 (32MB)
Sound Blaster Live!
256MB
I can get to the load/options/etc page...but no further...crashes to desktop.
Recommendations before I start another 2 days of tweaking?
Thanks,

Have you tried lowering the resolution? Turned on/off pixel shading?
Other than that, I'd suggest getting updated drivers for your video card & sound card. Not necessarily the newest (as most people like to suggest), but do some research and find out which are the most stable. Trial and error. =)
I'm running on 2000 Pro, and I haven't had any problems.
Athlon 1.1ghz
GeForce4 ti4400
Some crappy on-board sound card (C-Media)
512 DDR RAM |

Make sure you have all updated drivers and dx8.1
Also have you tried the safedisc free exe file? That may help also. If not here is a link:
http://personal.atl.bellsouth.net/lig/j/_/j_daniel/Morrowind/Morrowind.exe
Simply rename your current Morrowind.exe to Morrowbackup.exe (or something similar that you wont forget) and put the downloaded Morrowind.exe in the Morrowind directory. Run the game and see if it works.
BTW, I asked you in another post but you must have missed it. Do you still play UO? _________________ Shifter |

Thanks for the info.
I haven't logged into UO for over a year now. I've probably lost my characters...thanks...guess I'd better pay the 10 bucks to refresh everyone/thing. _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.
