I am in old Xardas tower, killed the mage explored the maze but cant find the rune to the fire mages and ore armor.
in some of the posts there was info that I must swim but I cant find where?

It's not really a maze...
You just swim down into the tower, then when you surface on the inside you'll fight some skeletons zombies and a skeleton mage. There are two rooms each with two chests and a pedestal. One of the four chests has the ore armor and teleport to fire mages rune. I think it's the left room. |

Ya it is the left room...I think it's blue tinted, where the other is red. |

Now I am really confused. Is The old tower this tower by the sea where you kill the sceleton mage to get stranger quest?
I think it is.
I managed to get to the sea. Must I swim in the sea to find some kind of secret passage? |

The tower your looking for is a sunken tower near the orc shaman you befriend at the ruins. |
