Power: Play the Game

The ultimate character is:
Breton, Sign Atronarch
Stats:
Choose overall average stats. You can easily rise them to perfect within the 65 - 70 levels to come.
Important: choose LUCK as primary. It is the only stat that cannot gain any multiplier inside the game. So while any other stat takes 2 levels to raise by 10 points, it will require you to spend 10 levels to achieve the same with luck.

Major/Minor Skills:
Take controllable skills, not uncontrollable ones such as Armor ones. They are bad as you cannot control WHEN you will level. Bad as you cannot determine if you have already gooten the necessary multipliers.
Good skills to have in for easier gameplay are:
speechcraft, acrobatics, marksman, conjuration, enchanting
Bad skills to choose as they are EASILY compensated with magic:
security (open spell), sneak (chameleon), athletics (speed can be gained by speedboots, by mod or will adjust sooner or later anyways).

Leave at least one wlp and int spellrealm in the misc region to gain multipliers.

Favorite Skills:
Combat, Magic or Stealth? Does not matter. Only thing important:
Choose that favorite realm you have the LEAST major and minor skills in, else you will have less levels to gain. Each level takes a gain of 10 pts.

Now the equipment:
For starters it is cool to choose whichever weapon you are best in.
In the long run take either a doublehanded daedric axe for ultimate damage or a katana for quick hits and blocking.

End equipment to have:
From the artefacts you will want to have the following:
Ring of Phynaster: for 20% magic resi
The Ebony Mail: for another 20% magic resi and the BEST armor rating (50 perm shield) <medium armor>
Fist of Randagulf: left and right ... +20 str and agi
Helm of Orcyn Bearclaw: +40 end and +40 agi
Necromancers Amulet: +25 int, +25 added spell absorb, +1 healthreg.
Boots of Blinding Speed: +200 speed (the 100% blindness are countered by 50% raceresi, and the 40% magic resi from the eq)
Robe of Drakes Pride: +10 int, +25 resi fire (with 75% from ebony mail = 100%), 25 more reflection

For the rest be sure to enchant your stuff with some of the following effects:
perm water breathing for perm exploring
perm levitate 1 affect for you are so quick you dont need the running
perm 5 pt stamina regeneration so you can run as long as you want
for the rest best choice is probably Str fortification:
Reason: More damage, more carry load -> more running, more and higher jumping

And last the weapon: take the bluebrand katana if you find the vampire quest associated with goldbrand. aside from that any of the above mentioned axes or swords will do. Let is be daedric and hack on.

for pauldrons and leggings: choose glass, ordinator or daedric stuff depending if you want more carryload, ac or a mix of both.

for shirts and rings and such: use the exquisite stuff for best enchantability

LAST:
This IS the toughest character to play, aside from having the Robe of St. Roris - or practically cheating, but be aware that ANY character will be near to unkillable from level 20 on no matter what.
Enjoy the game and play what you want. What really makes the game enjoyable is the intriguing storyline and the surprises within. There are mostly other ways to solve quests than those easy approaches offered in most spoiler sections. Sometimes they are even more rewarding .
Have fun and work out say Mr. Sixpack!
