some monsters i cant hit

i have a broaad sword which gives 55 damage but i cant kill the dog like creatures at the south east of the map where i should get the last focus.there is also a big guy like a troll.help plz do i need a better sword or sth?

A broad sword with 55 damage is only a mediocre weapon. Remember you are at Orc territory! Orcs are tough and their pets, Orcdogs also.
If you canīt hurt them get a better weapon and invest in strength. You can get a far better weapon for free if you keep your eyes open.
The big guy should be a bridge golem. This is some sort of stone golem, so you of course need a hammer to destroy it.
