I guess not, He'li runs the inn in Arnika and finds out you work for the T'Rang and the Umpani. You have to buy her off or she reveals your double agent status.
Another possiblity is you were revealed by the T'Rang spy, Sgt. Kunar. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I can't say for sure. I've always played as a double agent to get more experience points. It could also be a bug. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Expose him as a spy to Sergeant Balbrak. I think you have to cast the read mind spell on Kunar to get a hint to exposing him. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Gads! I never thought of mindread. Why do things seem so simple and obvious after someone tells you? _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

That's the great thing about this forum - everyone views and plays the game a little differently, and you find out about alternate solutions to problems. I have never used mindread myself, and never would have thought about it in this context. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. I tried the spell a few times and got "X's mind is blank" and never did it again. I don't think the caster had high skills, though. I'll certainly try again... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

I rather liked the mind read spell. It was interesting to find out what people were really thinking. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I just had another thought about He'Li spoiling your role as double agents. I have no idea how valid it is, but I figured I'd bounce it around here for feedback.
He'Li is friends with Vi. If you travel around with Vi in your party, she should be very inclined to be friendly towards you. (I travelled with Vi, and He'Li gave me a potion as a reward for doing a quest for someone else, once.) If you work at keeping Vi happy (only things I can think of is having her do a lot of travelling with you, and not dismissing her unless you're entering an area she won't go into), He'Li would be happy and not inclined to expose you.
And speaking of using mind read, has anyone repeatedly tried it on He'Li or anyone else to see if they're thinking of betraying you? _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. Hmm, never had any problems there. Paid off Heli, but I never mentioned Kunar.
I let the representative of each race do the talking when setting up the peace mission (Drazic to Z'ant, Rodan to Yamir). Wouldn't think that would make a diff, but you never know... |
