What you think of Jade Empire?

The new project seem like a rather large undertaking by Bioware. Probably not many Xbox owners here, but still, as a RPGs player (PC, consoles), what do you think of the new game? (see poll above). Few highligths from Gamespy:

quote:
- The team dug into eastern mythology, history, art, and literature for months. We read the great books of Wuxia like Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Outlaws of the Marsh, and we watched roughly a million hours of martial arts movies...; Greg Zeschuk, my partner and joint CEO at BioWare, and I have been dreaming about the idea behind Jade Empire for many years now -- nearly a decade, actually... I have visited China (Beijing and Hong Kong), as well as other locations in Asia (Korea and Japan)... to see sights like the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and the Ming tombs.

- All animations in game are fully motion captured -- a first for BioWare, ...brought in martial artists from as far away as mainland China to perform our styles.

- The graphics engine has more than twice the number of render paths that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic had, and cool new features like physics-based cloth, rim lighting, and an entirely new skeleton built to accommodate motion captured animation.

- the storyline -- rich, deep, and non-linear, and full of replayable options in the BioWare tradition.

- full voiceover and lip-synching on every character which was present in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and we're adding in some additional voice over for your main character on top of this.

- role-play as either an evil or good character...

- The combat system revolves around styles and tactical-style switching..., Fighting styles are grouped into three categories: martial arts styles, magic styles, and weapon styles.

You know, being a huge fan of eastern martial arts movies myself, the concept sounds very intriguing.

BUT! Being also very opinionated in regard to the XBox and it's bad influence on PC-RPG's, in this case to the extent of totally nullifying any possibility of my being able to play this game on mine own PC in the future, I refrained from giving a positive vote and just chose "Meh..".
