The word for today is 'patience'!! We all want G3, but we also want it to be at least as good as the previous 2, so we need to give the devs all the time they need to do that. There are some other good games on the horizon, so by the time I've finished them, G3 will be here and we'll all be happy.

What good games do you mean? And do you really think that they can deal
with Gothic? But I agree with that stuff about patience. O, by the way do you now how long PB worked on Gothic 1?

If I don't forget about it, I'll ask Tom on Saturday (if you can bear to wait until next week).

Fallout 3, KOTOR, and TOEE are 3 games on the Horizon I will probably buy, plus the next add on for NWN. That's a start.

I think Gothic´s development time was mentioned in one of our older interviews. Soething in the dimension of 3.5 or 4 years.
It would come as a surprise if Gothic 3 was released in Germany earlier than Christmas 2004. A 24 month development cycle is absolutely normal.

The development of GI took 3,5 years (October 97 - March 01); the demise of the Voodoo video board was one of the reasons development took this long (source: Tom Putzki, formerly Piranha Bytes, this morning).

No, I didn't forget your question. I was just not home (I visited the Games Convention trade fair in Leipzig).

In PC Games 2/2004 (German) I read, that Piranha Bytes is now busy working out a new combat-system for Gothic 3, and that the game may ??? be ready towards the end of 2005 (German version).

It's still scheduled for quarter 3/2005, the engine is also new (for a Gothic game).

All PB games so far have been delayed at least once. Be happy if it arrives before Christmas.

I'll just hope, that Piranha Bytes will take all the time they need to make gothic 3 a masterpiece .Also it could be nice, if they succeed to get better deal with publishers, like how publisher should advertise their game more etc etc...
Lastly and before everything, I don't want to end up seeing rushly made game which seems more like an addon than a brand new game.I belive you don't something like that to happen to your loved game-seriers either..

Besides there are lots of GREAT games to play.Should i menation some?

Kotor is a blast, best thing from sw-universum since ORGINAL trilogy! And its a brilliant rpg-game too.

Deus ex 2 is still waiting inthe horizont.Yes i still haven't played it, but when its released here in europe..i shall be standing on local's shop door at the very morning

I just finished "No one lives forever 2 - a spy in H.A.R.M's way", thought it wasn't as good as the first instalment, still it has lots of humor and the feeling of good old 60's!

Currently i'm enjoying jedi academy and Enemy territory, both are excellent fps-games..

Finally lastly i must praise Mafia, if you haven't still played it, go and do so!Ever hasn't a game got so close to movies(in a good way).everyone who loves movies like godfather, goodfellas etc, should try this

Also i've heard that hidden and dangerous 2 is lots of fun.. AND tomorrow i will buy max payne 2!Can't wait the weekend o begin!
