Treasure Hunt bug?

I put the emerald in the chest, and read the note that said to look under the rocks in the troll mines. After finding the only pile of movable rocks in the mines (westmost room, about halfway north-south), I shifted them around, but can't find a note. I left the first note in the box, do I have to go get it? Also, I believe I shuffled these rocks around before, would that screw up the hunt?

It always appears under a specific rock in the room where there are two chests, doesn't matter if you move them, it'll still be under it.

Now what I've noticed when you move the rocks is that depending on where you put the rock, sometimes the note will appear UNDER the polygons of the ground (kinda as if the damn thing was burried) and there is no way to see it... You'll need to fiddle around the area where you first picked up the rocks (once you opened the chest) and hope that your cursor ends up over the note for you to pick up... A bit like sometimes you loose the food you want to cook in the damn fire.

Ahh, yes, that did it. I had almost given up looking, then I spotted a tiny corner of the red seal on the paper. Thanks.
