When I talked to Scatty, he says "We will be holding a fight in a couple of days, we'll let you know" when I try to place a bet. Is there anyway or even if its possible that there are fights in the arena and you can bet money as well?

No fights, sorry. It was probably cut.

I don't know if arena fights were in the German version or not, but in the English one its one of many cut quests
Too bad, it would have been fun to win ore or fight in the arena... although the latter would get a little boring, because after the first three fights they wouldn't have anything left to take

Yeah, it would be fun to just watch, and if the person who you bet for is losing, just take out an arrow and a crossbow and let it go!

Muahaha, supremely evil
I'd bet on Gor Hanis every time... when I first saw his sword, I thought it was some Super-damaging unique weapon... imagine my disappointment later

Actually, you can get a lot of money with that if it was a match like Mud vs. Kharim. Everyone will bet their ore on Kharim so you will be the only one betting for Mud, make Mud win and your a millionaire!!

Ahhh, mud would just run out of the arena and be disqualified, or run against a wall while Kharim comes and beats him to a pulp in one hit
Unless, of course, you equip him with heavy ore armor

I would have to say I have yet to see a fight yet in the english version so it may just be the german.

There are no fights in the German version, either, but I stage them anyway by editing NPC scripts.

So far I staged (and reported about) four 'Fight Nights', even though the first one wasn't planned as entertainment... here's one example for reference: http://www.rpgdot.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=3906&forum=2
