if i kill dren early on does this screw up any later quests? if so which ones for what houses or guilds or factions.

You muck up the main quest, and (I think) the House Hlaalu quests.

Knock yourself out. He's a dirty sleaze ball anyways. You shouldn't muck up the main quest (in fact, it helps the main quest if you kill him).
