I suppose this is about MW, so I will move it from General CRPG to Morrowind General.

If it is not about MW patch, then post it and I will move it back .

The nocd patch isn't really a nocd patch, it only removes the 'wrapper' - but you still need the cd to play the videos.

I got a very low system, PIII650 and a TNT2 card - so i was happy to see that Gamecopyworld got two patches - the one you (probably) installed and a new one by Mythich that replaces both the Morrowind.exe and the launcher. You have to copy your Video over to the Morrowind directory tho.

I think the Mythich patch really is a rip (pirate) version, but it worked fine for me....

Justin Case, how is your performance now? I'm surprised MW runs at all on a tnt 2. What settings are you using?

Please do NOT post links to the ripped patch here. This is piracy since you don't need the CD anymore, and we do not support that in ANY way. Thanks.

I beg to differ; Rendelius - I ALWAYS try to find 'real' nocd patches - and I don't 'do' warez sites (this one is up on Gamecopyworld as I mentioned in my post) - and the reason is this (except for the obvious one on not having to access the Cd-rom all the time):

I'm a father of quite small children. Some time ago I found my (sons) Fifa 2001 CD inside the CD rom - broken up into about 56 pieces - my very young daughter that is at an age of imitating grown ups had 'used' the CD rom - I had to open the drive completely to clean it out She is also the kind of kid that places the remote control (and any other object) inside the video recorder etc.

Bottom line: If i can find a nocd patch (that lets me 'spare' my CDs) I'm using them - piracy is in using these patches with a ripped version.

But if you 'insist' I will of course not 'do this again'.

---------------
How does it perform on my comp (PIII650 and TNT2)? Not bad at all - so far.

The install put my screen at 1024x768 with no shadows and generally low settings, but I only got the game yesterday and was'nt able to play until late in the evening, so I just made a test char and went about in the starting village prepared to tweak things down even more, but .... It was NOT choppy - mouse cursor a bit slow, 'freezez' sometimes very shortly (gonna try the ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1 when I come home from work).

(Btw I'm buying a Gforce3 card this friday - which was the 'plan' anyways regardless of MW).

Rendelius, warez is the downloading/copying of a game that you do not own, its perfectly legal to make ONE back up copy. and gamecopyworld does not deal in anything with piracy. Its very good to not have to keep swapping cd's now and then.
