To bad you couldn't lure the queen back to the Templars.

A little hint!

This one will work every time!
Say that you have all those mine crawlers, and you cheat through the gate, but they just keep killing you! Well, then take out that bow of yours, and as soon as you do, you will see that the mine crawlers are targeted. All you have to do, is pick them off one by one through the gate.

If you are more of the mage type, then you can use you favorite spell through the gate!

P.S. this works really well, later on in the game!

I tried that the first time around and Ashgan killed me from behind. I loaded and waited till the templars started to chop the antz, then I pulled the bow. I think that was Gor Na Bar, who turned around and slashed me. Every time I had to wait until all the crowlers were dead to go into the mine far enough to pull my weapons safely.

Well, I didn't bring any tempelers. Hummm, I can't remember if I killed that guard or not. Anyway, I had to use it once, because the gate wouldn't open and I couldn’t take all of those crawlers on at once.

The next time I played, I was ready so I haven't tried it there in a while. It DOES work in the sleeper’s temple. I took out quite a few enemies that way!

Thanks again Val.

After searching the links from that site I found the list. Although actual directions on how to use the stuff would have been nice as well.

I got the gearwheel for Ian, got the password then did as I was expected. But, Gor Na Bar is doing his own thing.

I asked the 3 templars to help. they said they would. They said they would meet me there. But they did not actually meet me there and no longer give me an option to talk to them again about this situation. The Gate Guard will not let me in, or respond any longer, nor could I use the winch. The winch is jammed.

I typed in the insert code but the guy could not be found. The thing about the game that pisses me off is, if the game design wasn't such a peice of crap, I wouldn't need to cheat.

I tried to use the 'insert' but it says 'can't be found' should I be at the gate when I use the insert code? Should I be standing next to him to use the code?

Or can somebody actually take the time to tell me how to use the F2 Console properly?

P.S. You don't have to bother yourself Val, I hate to feel like I'm being your own personal 'Mud'

Oh, such a nasty situation to be in.

That's okay, you're not Mud just a newbie.
Enter Marvin-Mode and the console is there at the top of the screen waiting for a command.
Hit 'i', it fills in the rest of the word for you. Nice.
Then type in the NPC code. OM_CAVE1_56 for Gor Na Bar.
Hit enter.
He should pop right in.

Well, I don't know about all the insert stuff. But using "K" when marvin mode is on, will get you through the gate.

The only reason you have the templers there, is to help you. They just stand there anyway, so your on your own once the gate is up. So teleporting through is almost the same, and it won't ruin the game. Good Luck!

I wonder....could you teleport through the gate and then insert him? or get really close to the gate and have him insert on the other side?

Val, I must say that not only are you faster than me when it comes to answering these questions, you have more tricks up your sleeve as well !

Strange, but I have to state again that I never had any problems with the scripting engine. There were a couple issues with the textures in the woods and in the swamp, but nothing else. This is amazing, because graphics depends on the CPU and video card, while the script is always the same...

Hang on! I know what it may depend on: RAM. I have 640 RAM - this is why I never had problems, bingo! I think PB has to look into the RAM size issue closely, because the vast majority of computers in the world have 256 or less RAM.

Oh yeah, I am pretty sure that RAM is the issue, because the second time around I removed 128 megs and played with 512 megs and once I had to reload because the ruine temple gate would not open to let Gorn in. This was only once for me.

If you still don´t know how to open the gate you can find the answer in this thread.
