The latest Star Wars Galaxies review has been posted by Game Industry News. This one will undoubtedly spark debate because the score is a perfect 5/5 "gems". Here's a snip:

But, even without the promised Jedi, the game is a lot of fun to play. It is very much like most multiplayer games, meaning you need to do a lot of minor quests to gain experience and power as you develop your character. Basically that means you initially have access to two types of quests. You have the basic "FedEx" quest and the "Kill" quests. You need to deliver items for the FedEx quests and kill mostly rodents and stuff for the Kill quests. You are given money and experience for doing this.
Hmmm... |

No MMOLG game first few weeks out the door ranks a perfect score.
all are unfinished missing features and lack good content.
if this game was not called star wars, would it realy rank a perfect score?
the game looks great has great plans for the future but if far from perfect right now.
this game is getting away with higher reviews than normal only because it is star wars and looks good. |

Well, I agree that the perfect score is not deserved here at all. The game is enjoyable, yes. But it's way far from being perfect! As far as the general scores being higher than "normal" I disagree, but that's just my opinion _________________ =Proud Father of a new gamer GIRL!=

I looked around a bit and compared reviews from other sites on diffent MMOG's and it does seem SWG tends to be ranked less than most other games reviewed in the MMOG market.
although my point. the review above (and some others)
tend to be higher because it is star wars and not because of the game itself. |
