Alright, heres what youve got to do...

Get 5 or more friends.... these may include

Miltan, Gorn, Lee, bennet the blacksmith, Dieago, Lester (theres 6 now!) you also need a captain... You can have Torlof, hes the guy outside the merc house... or you can try Jorgan, hes in the monastary, you need to talk to Jorgon then to Pyrokar about him, as he has debts to pay off...

Once youve got a captain, and at least 4-5 others... go to the docks, meet with your friends, try and get on the ship... as a paladin, the knights guarding it will ask you whats going on... you out rank him, as you should have the paladin armour, so just tell him that, and he wont stand in your way... oh, dont run away to fast, another NPC knight will come ask you what you think you are doing, tell him, he will be forced to come with you.

Hope that helps

Have you already found the secret libary in the monastary? If not, go to Xardas tower where you will meet Pedro. He will give you something and this will set you on the right track.
