In case some Radeon owners were unaware, there are newly released drivers from ATI for the entire Radeon line, downloadable from their website (www.ati.com).

Driver Build 4.13.9009 for Win 98 or Win ME, covering the following cards:

ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV (Windows ME only)
ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 7500
ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON
RADEON 8500
RADEON 7500
RADEON 7200
RADEON 7000
RADEON 64MB DDR
RADEON 32MB DDR
RADEON 32MB (SDR)
RADEON VE

Driver Build 6.13.10.6015 for Win XP, covering the following cards:

ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV
ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 7500
ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON
RADEON 8500
RADEON 7500
RADEON 7200
RADEON 7000
RADEON 64MB DDR
RADEON 32MB DDR
RADEON 32MB (SDR)
RADEON VE

Remember to DISABLE W-buffer support in the D3D tab of the ATi control panel settings, which is enabled by default. Otherwise you will get a blank screen when opening your inventory or looking into chests (object transparency issues). Also, if you are a power tweaker and have such utilities as PowerStrip or RadeonTweaker, do NOT enable Hierarchical-Z, as you will encounter some horrible rendering for distant objects.

I would not recommend installing the 1.08k Gothic patch, developed for the Radeon 7500 & 8500 utilizing the previous driver builds (4.13.7189 or 4.13.7191) under Win 98, until testing the new driver on it's own first.

I have a 7200 in Win 98SE and have encountered no graphics problems w/ this new driver while playing Gothic. Will be testing an 8500 w/ new driver under Win XP shortly.
