key to cabin on ship and eye of innos

Hey..3 things:

When I first went to the island i had my own captain's cabin that somebody gave me the key for. Now I go back and it says i need the right key. Bug? No one has the key so I can't get in my own room.

2) I used the Eye of Innos before the dragon i found in the halls of ildorath then reloaded and didn't use the eye and it doesn't make a difference. unfortunately i'd already put it on so i had to go recharge it after i killed him.

3) I talked to everyone on the ship and no one knows anything about getting that huge gap past the dragon. I'm not a mage so I can't levitate or anything.

i only know something about the huge gap behind the dragon.
stand before it, and take out you bow/crossbow.
then focus, if you do it right, it will focus on a switch at the other side of the gap (in a tower) shoot at the switch (there are 2).
if you don't have a bow, look for it, i'm sure there is a bow in one of the chests.
