Whats the best Bow in gothic, and how do I find it? (beating up people included)

the best one i came across so far is diegos bow 70 damage(around that) cheat for it

Min Dexterity: 50
Value: 760
You could buy that from Cavalorn or Wolf in chapter 5. |

Ah. =) No, I like to cheat within the game's rules.
=)
Like standing on a cliff taking out really tough enemies with arrows or try to get opponents stuck...
But I only spawn stuff when I have accidently 'broken' a quest by using up a required item.

I think I killed Scar last night at the end of chapter five and don’t recall a bow. I found the Teleport to Fire Mages rune and decided to pop in for a visit. Needless to say I wasn't welcome, and had to beat up everyone. Then I saw Calisto and the other Fire Mages lying dead on the floor. So, in the name of magic, I knocked them out and gutted everyone there. Then I went down stairs and found the rest of the mages lying dead where they stood. I flipped and I started to wreak utter havoc upon the Guards in the Castle but left Thorus and Gomez alive for later.

He does indeed have a bow "Battlebow of War", or "Crossbow of War", forgot the name at the moment...check carefully
I took it in chapter 2, maybe his inventory changed in Chapter 5. |

He doesnt have a Bow, he have a Crossbow named Crossbow of War.
If he doesnt have that crossbow, then his mate have one.
I want the best "Bow", not the best "Crossbow". =)

A slight spoiler if you dont mind...
Once you have the "Teleport to Fire Mages Rune" youre supposed to take out at least Gomez and rescue the Blacksmith in his dungeon. He have a very nice reward for you as long as you carry your Ore Armor.

No, its not a visible quest in the quest list, but Scorpio (I think) or Diego/Milton (SOMEONE) tells you that the Blacksmith is locked up in Gomez Dungeon.
After defeating Gomez (He earned that!) you will get keys for the doors in the dungeon.
After rescuing him, meet him on his normal working place (or just follow him from the dungeon), he will make wonders with your Ore Armor. =)

Is a "pickaxe" an axe for you?
Crossbow/Bow is separate skills in Gothic.

I have not found anything higher than the Bow of Death hp=88
