Alof's Orcs??

I took off on the Fighter's quest to visit farmer Alof and eliminate some pesky Orcs. Went to the ruin he sent me to, and I'd previously wandered in there and removed those Orcs. Neither Alof or the Guildmaster will recognize that I have removed those pests! Any ideas on how this might be fixed without (gasp) cheating on the console? If this is not fixed will it really cause me any problems by not completing the quest? I assume that is not a big deal in the scheme of things in the game. If you think that it may be critical to my fun, please suggest how to enter the console command. Thanks for any advice.

You probably didint killed the leader. He will appear after you get the quest. Go to ruins again and kill him
