Solution to "dump to desktop" XP problem

I have been having severe problems with the game dumping to desktop (I presume a memory leak) on a regular basis. I made sure all drivers were updated, etc. to no avail. However, I just got Tweak XP (yes, I am running Windows XP) and have run that program - performing several of the tweaks including a tweak for my video card. Since doing that I have not dumped to desktop a single time in over 10 hours of play (5 hours continuous in one session). Many of the tweaks (including the video card one) did not give details of what was being tweaked so it is hard to judge which might have helped - but if you are having problems you might give the program a try.
