My character is trying to find someone who can teach FORTIFY SKILL so he can enchant an item constant effect with for example fortify long Sword.
Does anyone know who teaches that type of spell? |

No such spell listed in the manual. You can fortify stats, but not skills. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

As far as i know it's impossible to create continues magical items yourself. Even with enchanting at 100, i still fail every time. It is possible to have an item enhchanted with continues effect. For that you need the soul of a golden saint, trapped in a grand soul gem. The best items for a constant effect are the exquisite ring and the exquisite amulet since they have the highest enchantment value.
Oh, and you'd better bring lots of gold, these enchantments cost a bundle ! |

Thanks for replies - However I'm sure I've used weapons that have echantments to Fortify a weapon skill - eg a spear with fortify attack skill. Are these just one-off items that can't be created by a character? |

Yeah, to sucessfully enchant a constant effect item yourself, you'll need Luck and Intelligence through the roof - I mean thousands of points, honest. Get an enchanter to do it for you.
But to answer the question, that's a tricky one. There's a long and difficult quest for the Morag Tong that has a Fortify skill spell as a reward. This is the impressive way to get the spell - if you complete that quest without using spoilers you can seriously boast about it!
However, for a quick fix you should be able to pick up the skill in Mournhold - do you have Tribunal? _________________ Charlie Dobbie

Thanks cfmdobbie
I'm planning on getting Tribunal but I might have to join the Morag Tong in the meantime and try my luck
Cheers - at least I have a course of action now |

Bloodmoon also adds another source for the fortify skill spell, in the Skaal village, unfortunatly you need to get a ways into the main quest to have access to that. |
