Locked Areas
   

In JemyM's FAQ for Gothic 1, he says not to enter locked ares until you get a quest telling you to go there. Does the same rule apply for Gothic 2?

In Chapter 1, the "locked area" is the path towards the Valley of Mines.

For all the chapters, there's a room inside the Paladin Ship. Unless you're instructed by the quest, don't go there, or you'll be automatically transported to the final chapter.
